Scheduled Maintenance
As part of the separation from NortonLifeLock, we will be moving the Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition (SEP SBE) and Partner Management Console (PMC) cloud servers to a Broadcom controlled data center. This move will require an extended maintenance period, where the cloud management console services will be unavailable. Endpoints will remain fully protected during the maintenance period.

The maintenance window will start on April 4, 2020, at 00:00 UTC. It is estimated that maintenance will take approximately 4 days to complete. Additional updates will be shared on the Business Security Service Status page if schedule adjustments are made.

Impact
During the maintenance period, the cloud management consoles (SEP SBE and PMC) will not be available. The Alerting and Reports features will not be available during the maintenance window. However, any alerts generated by endpoint protection clients will be queued and then processed at the conclusion of the maintenance period. If you attempt to access the cloud management consoles during our maintenance period, you will be presented with a message informing you that the system is under maintenance.

In addition to the impact to the cloud management portal, endpoint protection clients may display a grey question mark (“?”). Endpoints will remain fully protected during the maintenance period and will continue to receive the latest LiveUpdate definitions. You will not be able to enroll new endpoints during the maintenance window.

Action Required
Policy changes should be made at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the maintenance period. Additionally, deployment of new endpoint protection clients should be completed prior to the start of the maintenance.
